I don't think there is a difficulty in finding disruptive ideas, what is difficult is executing. Every day as I walk the streets, sit in restaurants, travel in matatus or read a newspaper I have great disruptive ideas but soon after I blink poof! they are gone.
That is why I walk around with a note book to jot down the ideas as they flow through me, I will definitely not execute on even a hundredth of them but having them allows me to question startups that believe they had sported the same disruptive opportunity thus allowing me to be a better coach than one who only has their textbook knowledge.
